We're kicking of the new year by sharing Corinna and Kiran's wedding at the Ritz Carlton San Francisco. Thank you to Floramor Studios for recommending Corinna and Kiran to us! We loved being a part of this wedding.Â
We decided to change up our blogging habits a little bit. We wanted to give the couples you see here more of a voice and get their perspective on the wedding day. So we've put together a simple set of 5 questions that are sure to bring out some of the best information for our readers who are planning their own weddings.
First, up the Love Story: Corinna and Kiran met years ago in Los Angeles and became friends. According to Corinna, Kiran turned the tables on their years-long friendship with the words, "you should stop dating these losers and date me instead!" Well said, Kiran! Way to be bold. Eventually, it was time for the proposal. Corinna had just finished making a late lunch one Sunday afternoon in their home. Kiran walked into the kitchen and proposed. Sweet and simple and again, straightforward. I love this guy's style.
Time for the Wedding Inspiration! Corinna and Kiran wanted something classic, timeless and elegant, but slightly different. Kiran wanted some outdoor elements and a unique experience. (A Baraat procession with a horse inside the Ritz Carlton San Francisco IS unique!) Also on the must-have list was a venue that was in San Francisco. The couple grew up in the city and now resides there so it was important for them to share their love of the city with family and friends. Thus, the outdoor terrace of the Ritz Carlton San Francisco along with the neoclassical architecture and style of the building was the perfect choice to combine the outdoorsy element with classic San Francisco style. The design and decor of the wedding followed Hindu wedding traditions. Corinna and Kiran exchanged jaimala gardens and incorporated florals into the mandap. Corinna's bouquet held a treasured photo of her mother as a remembrance on this very special occasion.
When we asked for Corinna and Kiran's favorite part of the wedding, they answered "all of it!" They highly recommend a multi-day wedding celebration because really, why not marry your best friend twice? Add in extra time with your nearest and dearest and your wedding becomes not just one day, but a whole complete experience. Thank you to Corinna and Kiran for choosing us to be part of your special day! We're so honored to have been your photography and video team. We wish you so many happy years to come!
